Even though cleaner production has explicit benefits, the concept has not totally picked up in Gujarat due to the absence of a coherent and close working group to facilitate the dissemination of information and to provide guidance to the needy. In the absence of such a group, the success of CP has been confined to few industries without any multiplier effect. The center has accepted the challenge and is seriously working to spread the CP/CT concept and to achieve multiplier effect, dissemination programme have been organized in the industrial estates. Here, the success stories of units are discussed by the demonstrating unit to motivate other industries.
